Description:

This large blue vase exemplifies the masterful artistry of Berndt Friberg (1899–1981), one of Sweden’s most celebrated ceramicists. Known for his flawless craftsmanship and exceptional glaze techniques, Friberg personally threw and glazed every piece he created. His signature rabbit’s fur glaze—applied in fine layers of varying hues—produced a luminous surface that defines this striking blue vessel.

Created at Gustavsberg, Sweden’s renowned porcelain manufacturer, the vase reflects Friberg’s deep influence from traditional Asian pottery and his lifelong pursuit of perfection. From miniature forms to grand floor vases, each of his works carries the artist’s hallmark precision and timeless elegance—qualities that continue to captivate collectors worldwide.
